About niiconn
Raised in 2001 as a fun homepage for myself. It later became a photo gallery for my friends and a development and testing base for my programming studies.
The next iteration of niiconn.net came with version 3 in 2005. At this time I got introduced into the whole blogging scene and was totally overwhelmed by it. So, niiconn.net v3 was born. And it was my first experience with a blogging system called CuteNews.
In early 2006 I finally was aware of my web developing and publishing abilities and therefore created a successor which I gave the name i-mezzo (as in intermezzo). After three failed design approaches I finally trashed the i-mezzo project and came back to niiconn.net.
With numerous design iterations of niiconn version 4 and a dramatical influence of my holidays in Japan in mid 2006, v4 lasted not long until early 2007 with the beginnig of niiconn.net's version 5 which included the Wordpress blogging system that I am still using for this site, btw. With some tweaks over the time niiconn.net version 5 was a little success as it was a milestone which gave me some business related opportunities.
This version 6 is a logical successor for niiconn.net and for me as a web designer. I've achieved my personal with niiconn v6.
